EXCLUSIVE: Come behind the scenes of Sir Winston's new single 'Hollywood Hills'

Like a Pulp Fiction fever dream, New York-based Aussie producer and songwriter Sir Winston brings some vintage fuzz and sweaty charm to the Tinseltown trope on his latest tune Hollywood Hills. Following on from his 2019 release Everybody Must Dance, Hollywood Hills brings a raw and rasping affair, full of tambourines, woozy guitars and Sir Winston's prowling vocals as the track traverses confusion and panic and a desperate surge to conjure a sense of sanity.
Inspired by a real experience that occurred in the eponymous Hollywood Hills, Sir Winston's latest track came to life self-produced and recorded in Brooklyn, New York alongside studio master Abe Seiferth (RAC, Car Seat Headrest, Yeasayer). And it's with this latest endeavour that we sneak another glimpse into the genre fluidity Sir Winston embodies; part psych indie lord, part dance wunderkind, and an artist truly geared to demanding substantial sonic attention. And to celebrate his recent release, today Sir Winston's sharing some epic behind the scenes pics of the Hollywood Hills process - including the well-worn tambourine sparkling throughout the track. Check 'em out below!

MIXING DAY
Love working in this room especially when it's freezing outside in the New York winter.

WORKING THROUGH SOME IDEAS
The studio is my favourite place and this studio has an amazing relaxed vibe to both write and record.

SO MANY TOYS
We experimented with so many different sounds.

TRACKING
Tracking guitars is my favourite thing in the world to do.

WORKING WITH ABE SEIFERTH
Working with Abe is the best - always long fun sessions way into the night.

DIY TAMBOURINE
Whatever it takes to get that Tambourine to sound just right
