EXCLUSIVE: 'Tis nearly the season, and Kingswood have you covered with their fave Xmas flicks!

Have yourself a very Kingswood Christmas, with the rockin' Sydney four-piece closing out 2020 by faithfully tackling all their favourite Yuletide classics on their upcoming release A Kingswood Christmas.
Not content with already spreading cheer to the year with the release of their third studio album Juveniles back in March, and an Americana-tinged re-imagining of Juveniles with Reveries back in October, Kingswood dig deep and tackle some of the biggest Christmas tunes - and all for an extremely good cause, with proceeds of the album going towards Beyond Blue's Coronavirus Mental Wellbeing Support Service.

"Kingswood has always been a family, and a perfect time and a perfect time for us all to reflect on the importance of this bond is indeed Christmas. The subconscious embodiment of this dynamic within Kingswood directly correlates to the wonderful ethos that has been instilled in us from our own families and the attitudes and philosophies that accompany govern a lot of the decision making process e.g. in the same way that you test your ideas with your most trusted loved ones...
Many Australians are approaching an unprecedented period of difficulty, with the ongoing hardships the pandemic has caused, running into Christmas. The experts at Beyond Blue recognise that sometimes holidays can also bring stress, anxiety and depression, particularly among those dealing with loneliness, relationship difficulties or financial worries. Beyond Blue provide vital support for all Australians and together, we want to remind everyone that if you’re in strife and you need support for your mental health, reach out and ask" - Kingswood

Recorded with Guus Hovenaars, and co-engineered by Hovenaars and Kingswood's very own Alex Laska, A Kingswood Christmas is certainly a surprising turn for a band so readily associated with modern rock and roll; but Kingswood are never ones to appease expectations, and this heartfelt album is definitely one to bust out for a night gathered around the fire (or the Netflix 'Fireplace For Your Home' for our fellow chimney-less readers). And to really get you in the festive spirit alongside A Kingswood Christmas out today, the band share their Fave 5 Christmas Movies (and we are especially glad to see Die Hard top the list!!)Go grab a look below!

DIE HARD
Not going to go into it, you know, and if you don’t, you need to see this movie, and yes it’s a Christmas movie.
It’s so good I’m gonna watch it now

HOME ALONE
Still awesome today and often played whilst on tour. They build the house in an empty school swimming pool, sooo that’s kinda cool.

HOME ALONE 2
Maybe better than the original, NYC, the bird lady, just the best.

ELF
Probably the way I officially embrace Xmas for the first time each year is by watching Elf. If the others don’t ‘count’ as Christmas movies this does and it’s probably the best proper Xmas movie of them all.

NATIONAL LAMPOON'S CHRISTMAS VACATION
I had to throw in an oldie and this is my fav, Chevy Chase is a funny dude, if you haven't seen the other National Lampoon movies there are two before this one, start from the beginning.
