EXCLUSIVE: What's on the dream rider for hip hop legend Kirklandd? Come find out!

Armed absolutely oozing with silken melodics and trap-punk antics, Canberra artist Kirklandd continues his dream run in the Aussie hip hop and alt-pop realms with his latest track SIIYE prowling to life late last week:

Calling on the woozy angst and polished flow of the likes of Blink-182-meets-Trippie-Redd, Kirklandd tackles new ambitious heights with SIIYE, while also introducing the first in a three-single trilogy titled The Love Divide, as well as a virtual performance with an 8-piece live band streaming on August 28th to raise money for Support Act and their COVID-19 emergency relief fund. But while live music is but a distant memory for many right now, today Kirklandd takes us through his ultimate rider wishlist for when he can hit the road once more.

Check it out below!

I’ve been spending the past 6 months dreaming of playing a live show, and I’ve had ample time to think about my Dream Rider when things kick off again. Below are my new go-to’s for what I’ll need when I next perform:

Pharrell sitting across from me, explaining the mystery of the universe and the power of meditation.

Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor spinning on vinyl. This takes me back to the wide-eyed kid who just heard hip hop for the first time.

A bottle of Fortaleza tequila. Strictly for after the show.

Burning incense. Maybe vanilla flavoured.

H20. May seem obvious, but major key.

A fresh outfit

My close homies. I’m a big believer that you’re a product of those you surround yourself with.

Right before the set, some heavy in ear headphones playing Mo Bamba by Sheck Wes. Big, big vibe.
