After a brutal year littered with disappointments, unknowns and ongoing uphill battles, two things have remained steadfast throughout it all: the resilience of the creative industries, and the diehard passion of heavy music fans and the broader community. 2021 has certainly not been without its own challenges and hardships, whether COVID-related or other; but amongst the less than rosy moments, heavy fans in Australia have certainly found ways to celebrate milestones and traditions, and one man in particular who has helped to keep the heavy fires burning is none other than The Faction managing director and Collision Course PR founder Tim Price.
From spreading the good word about the inaugural edition of The Other Festival in Brisbane earlier this month, to hosting a digital version of the beloved UNIFY Gathering in January, Tim Price, aka Pricey, isn't limited to just spreading the good word about the heavy music scene. A champion of all things metal, punk, prog, hardcore, heavy rock and beyond, Pricey also runs the 24/7 heavy music radio station and app The Faction alongside balancing a bustling roster of local and international artists; and for the third year in a row, he'll also be heading up The Faction's Hardest 100 Countdown, celebrating all the best breakdowns and riffs of 2020, throwing down all day on March 27.
