Across the space of two heaving decades, Southern California heavyweights Atreyu have smashed expectations and cleaved an indelible legacy on the heavy music world with their emotive-yet-blistering sonic ways both building and challenging the metalcore genre since their inception in 1999. And now embarking into a third decade of existence, the Artreyu gents are gearing up to head down under - and they'll be joined by some stellar local talent around the country.
Brandishing a sweltering musical legacy in their wake, both with a slew of acclaimed releases and sharing the stage alongside everyone from Slipknot to Chris Cornell (and everyone in between), it would seem near impossible for the metal magicians in Atreyu to climb higher in a particularly volatile modern music industry. But never ones to play it safe or rest on their laurels, the Arteyu gents are barrelling into the 20s in ballistic fashion with a brand new tune (the trap-tastic Battle Drums) and a run of long-awaited Aussie shows since their last visit 3 years ago.
Along for the ride on these upocoming Aussie shows as national support are Victorian metalcore faves Ocean Sleeper, as well as some kick-ass local supports from Bad Moon Born (Sydney), From Crisis To Collapse (Brisbane), Chasing Lana (Melbourne), Tempest Rising (Perth) and Zelorage (Adelaide).
Offering what is guaranteed to be a world class evening of heavy delights, be sure to jump along to one of these shows if you're in the vicinity and catch a glimpse Artreyu and friends as they rip this new decade a new one! Tickets are on sale from Silverback Touring HERE, more info below.
