MUSIC NEWS: Get around the sneaky Like A Version from epic oddballs Ocean Grove!

One of the most iconic mainstays in the Aussie music world is the rite of passage that is tackling triple j's Like A Version - and every now and then a band of the heavier persuasion gets the spotlight thrust upon them. And while the end result of many a Like A Version can be polarising or deemed "risky", last week's edition threw down an absolute pearler courtesy of Melb oddball faves Ocean Grove performing their own shimmering tune SUNNY, alongside a kickass knockout rendition of the Sneaky Sound System classic UFO.

Featuring special guest Running Touch alongside the Ocean Grove gents, this sensational cover brandishes heavy tinges over the nostalgic Aussie dance track in a glossy and gritty showing that kicks off in more traditional fashion before escalating into a tantalising OG anthem full of quirk, charm and technical wizardry.

And as if this brand new cover wasn't enough to get Ocean Grove fans drooling over their radios and/or phone speakers: in their interview with Bryce and Ebony for Like A Version, the band have also revealed they're set to announce an Aussie headline tour this week too! (Oh, how I've missed writing the words "tour" and "announce" in the same sentence. Bring it on).

For more info, including some impending tour news, head HERE, and you can also check out Ocean Grove's performance of their track SUNNY below, taken from the band's critically acclaimed 2020 album Flip Phone Fantasy and definitely one to brighten up your day.
