In 2020 they were all about Self Care, but in 2022 alternative luminaries Yours Truly are stepping boldly into brand new sonic waters, confirming yesterday an upcoming EP is this what i look like? due out on Friday 15 July via UNFD; and for good measure, also unveiling a brand new track and video featuring a one of their musical icons Josh Franceschi from You Me At Six.

Speaking about the new single Mikaila Delgado explains: “Hallucinate is an anxiety attack turned into music, detailing how it takes over your body so totally that it feels as if you're under the influence of something. I've struggled badly with anxiety and it's debilitating every day to be at war with your own thoughts. It's one of the darkest songs we've ever written but I found a lot of power in pulling out the chaos of how anxiety feels and sounds to me and putting it in a song.”

Closing out 2021 with an ARIA nom for Best Hard Rock/Heavy album for 2020's Self Care and supporting Holding Absence in the UK, Yours Truly are shaping up for a massive 2022; but this time, they're shedding influences that they were devouring in their youth, and instead turning their focus to more contemporary listening, drawing inspiration on the new EP from the likes of Bring Me The Horizon, The 1975, Bloc Party and Head Automica.

With seven Yours Truly tracks lying in wait on is this what i look like?, we're set to truly behold the incredible strides the band have made since their high school origins. Never ones to shy away from honesty and emotive bangers, is this what i look like? is set to only further amplify the dazzling trajectory the Melbourne quartet continue to traverse with each passing year; and Hallucinate is the perfect accompaniment to the EP news, bringing to vivid life the sensation of feeling overwhelmed and losing control alongside a powerhouse feature via Franceschi himself.
