SINGLE REVIEW: Blue (DAVY SIMONY)

SINGLE: Blue ARTIST: Davy Simony

Whether you're having a rough week or some asshole cut you off in spectacular fashion on the way to work this morning, we could all do with a little escape from the day-to-day gloom, and mellow Melbourne artist Davy Simony will certainly fade all your worries away with his brand new track 'Blue'.

Armed with a voice that blends raw strength with melted butter, Davy brings a sharp warmth to his heartfelt lyrics and soothing tone. And while 'Blue' masquerades as a calm and captivating bubble of acoustic bliss, there's a tinge of conflict as the track wrestles with the validity of your problems when they're stacked up against the rest of the world's (a topic that doesn't necessarily lend itself to a chill vibe, but Davy manages to navigate it effortlessly).

Already making a name for himself with his 'one-man-band' live shows incorporating guitar, foot percussion and live looping, this smoothly soulful artist is definitely one to watch out for in 2018 - but for now, go iron out those stress lines and check out 'Blue' plus a whole lot more below:
