SINGLE REVIEW: Golden Sage (REGULAR BAND)

SINGLE: Golden Sage ARTIST: Regular Band It would be mighty awkward if Brisbane rockers Regular Band lived up to their name - but lucky for this plucky trio, there is nothing ordinary or average on the agenda, as their impending new single 'Golden Sage' demonstrates. Straight outta the gate, 'Golden Sage' is a head bangin', toe tappin' rager that mixes some grungy rock with a little lovin from the 90s. Catchy? Yes. Riffs? You betcha. But perhaps the most surprising element is some pretty thoughtful lyrics from frontman Chris Wenner over the top of some relentless beats from Mitch Ellis and rollicking bass courtesy of Tim Hilton. Yes, it's a hell of a good time but there's a lot more to this band than what meets the eye (and/or ear) with lyrics like "And I know that its not easy being different, But whats worse is thinking that we're all the same". With a dance-worthy chorus that is begging for a thrashing in the mosh, 'Golden Sage' is an exciting next step for this very likable band - and expect some very non-regular adventures from these three in the future. 'Golden Sage' is out this Thursday, for more info head to the below:
