SINGLE REVIEW: Don't Feed The Monster (ELLA FENCE)

SINGLE: Don't Feed The Monster // ARTIST: Ella Fence

Slinky electro pop takes a scintillating dark turn in the hands of QLD artist Ella Fence with her new track 'Don't Feed The Monster'.

First claiming local and international attention with her 2016 debut single 'Hunter', the brooding and cinematic stylings of Ella Fence have increasingly seen this enigmatic artist claim international tours, extended airplay and over one million streams each for her first two releases.

With recent appearances at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games and the Gold Coast Music Awards, Fence's potent style has significantly expanded with her latest track 'Don't Feed The Monster' into a dark and immersive world of trippy synths, humid beats and robust vocals that tangle at moments with Fiona Apple and The Civil Wars.

Signalling her first single off her forthcoming album, 'Don't Feed The Monster' is a powerful and flourishing journey that sonically delights in the dramatic, while thematically rejecting emotional toxicity: "The more you partake in a problem, or passively doing nothing instead of actively fighting against it, the more you become part of that problem. Whether it's internal or external. Don't feed the monster".

You can catch Ella Fence and her brand new tune in action in August when she takes the stage supporting Baker Boy on the Gold Coast, and then later in the month with two special launch shows in honour of 'Don't Feed The Monster'.
