ADELAIDE'S ATTONBITUS WIELD APOCALYPTIC GLEE WITH YET ANOTHER UNIQUE ART ROCK GEM ON THEIR LATEST TUNE THIS IS THE TALE OF MUDDY BALLS OFFICIALLY PREMIERING TODAY ON THE SOUNDCHECK!
Starting their band journey as uni students in Adelaide, Attonbitus ain't your average rock group; part grungy prog aliens, part bouyant groove machines, the trio craft psychedelic spells akin to Primus crashing a Peter Tosh birthday party with a dollop of Aussie flavour. And while their debut 2018 album David Street showcased the offbeat tendencies lurking in the collective Attonbitis sleeves, the trio dive deeper into kaleidoscopic waters with the fresh tune This Is The Tale Of Muddy Balls.
Led by singer-songwriter and guitarist Michael Brigante and rounded out by bassist Shivon Diana and drummer Alex Walendy, This Is The Tale Of Muddy Balls is all woozy tones and groovin' drones as the group offer a glimpse into their forthcoming concept sophomore full length Some Of Us Might Die:
"This is the tale of muddy balls is the first track on the lead up to a concept album. It is about a post-apocalyptic mutant who before WW3 was a pharmacist working in his lab. After the bombs dropped he was radiated, overdoses on the substances he was working on and dies. 50 years later he comes back to life and now has the ability to sweat out LSD, sneeze scopolamine and drools heroin. He believes that when he overdosed he was set free, so now he wants to set everyone free." Michael Brigante
Setting their own restrained sonic hallucinations loose in dizzying fashion, This Is The Tale Of Muddy Balls is a perfect entree for the intriguing new chapter for Attonbitus - and you can grab a sneaky listen below before it officially releases into the world this Friday February 14.
