VIDEO PREMIERE: We Could Do Better (MUULES)

WHAT BETTER WAY TO BREAK UP THE NUMBING MONOTONY OF SELF ISOLATION THAN FEASTING YOUR EYES ON A CAVALCADE OF MESSED-UP LANDINGS AND EPIC MANEUVERS THAT ACCOMPANIES THE BRAND NEW SKATE-TASTIC MUSIC VID FROM SUNNY COAST ALT ROCK LEGENDS MUULES FOR THE NEW SINGLE WE COULD DO BETTER IN COLLABORATION WITH SUGARCANE SKATEBOARDS - AND IT'S PREMIERING RIGHT NOW ON THE SOUNDCHECK!

With their recent belter of a tune We Could Do Better busting out at the end of April, Sunshine Coast prog-tinged trio Muules not only shared a timely tune lyrically reflecting the uncertain times we're all currently faced with; the track was also incidentally one of their earliest written tunes, written waaay back in 2017 and finding a home in their live set - and now a home in their recorded repertoire.

And while the COVID-19 pandemic didn't affect the group getting their new tune out to the masses, it did inspire some creative problem-solving from the group for their latest video. Joining forces with Sugarcane Skateboards, Muules had provided a few already-released songs for the soundtrack for the skate flick Unauthorized Access due out in December. But with current restrictions in place preventing the film's production and postponing its release until potentially 2021, Muules took the musical bulls by the horns and devised a way to use already shot material to underscore their latest sonic baby.

Featuring an array of skating bloopers and outtakes that will curl your toes and get George Costanza yelling "that's gotta hurt!", the new clip for We Could Do Better lives up to its name across the space of three minutes, turning pain to some good and even throwing in some happier landings to close out the vid:

"Due to the impact of Corona (man we’re sick of hearing this term), and therefore restrictions on particular activities, particularly the closures of skate parks, the whole project has been forced back, with the project most likely looking at a 2021 premiere instead. So with a new single out for Muules, with restrictions on filming all members together, and with the skate flick on hold for a while, the two parties came together with Muules bassist/producer Rhys proposing an idea to Mark Fulloon (Sugarcane Skateboards) - get as much material featuring bloopers, messed-up landings, and general hurty stuff, along with some seriously skilled finishes, and create something fitting for ‘We Could Do Better’, while also acting as a sly teaser for the future-slated skate movie." - Muules

So, whether you just need a laugh, a look at people having a way worse day than you, or you want a scarily accurate representation of my pro Tony Hawk skills circa 2000, come wrap your eyes and ears around the brand new music vid from the lovable Muules larrikins - and keep an eye out for Unauthorized Access when it drops potentially next year!
