MUSIC NEWS: It's the collab that'll leave your ears weak at the knees as Matt Corby and Tash Sultana team up for a brand new tune

July 11, 2019

Sweet collab dreams are made of this! It's an Aussie dream team-up as multi-instrumentalists Matt Corby and Tash Sultana team up for a sun-soaked new track 'Talk It Out'.

Releasing today via Island Records, 'Talk It Out' combines the bluesy soul of Matt Corby with the chillaxed charm of Tash Sultana, resulting in a total bliss-ball of a tune that balances each artist's signature style amid a hazy dreamscape of kinky percussion, warm tones and glossy guitars.

Revealing Corby's first sign of new music for 2019, the track initially came to life during sessions for his 2018 album 'Rainbow Valley', but found it differing from his goal with his second full-length, as he explains: "It didn’t feel like it was a fit for the record so I revisited it with Tash recently...Tash has a giant musical beast living inside of her, so I knew she could deal with whatever I threw at her. It was amazing to collaborate with someone like that, and have her throw her musical stylings over the song”.

And just how did this collision of plush musical magicians come to be? "We originally started having a jam in early 2017, then life came between making music together. This track came about because Matt didn't include it on ‘Rainbow Valley’.He sent it to me to fill in the blanks, and it's the first collaboration I've done with another artist that I’ve released.Matt is an amazing songwriter and instrumentalist. He's also an absolutely awesome guy with a huge soul so it was a privilege to be a part of this project," Tash explains.

You can go get an early whiff of summer below with 'Talk It Out' (best paired with a sunset and good vibes), and you can also catch Matt Corby live in action next weekend when he hits the mainstage at Splendour In The Grass.
