SINGLE: Ten Days // ARTIST: Sasha March
Cavort into a lush and longing pocket of sonic beauty with Sydney-based songstress Sasha March and her brand new track 'Ten Days'.
Signalling a new creative chapter for this divine Adelaide-turned-Sydney artist, 'Ten Days' wields opulent simplicity with a rich, hazy warmth that builds upon the folk foundations of Sasha March's earlier releases and forges into sturdy alt-indie lands.
Delivering dreamy instrumentals coating March's honeyed vocals and passionate yet cautiously optimistic lyrics, 'Ten Days' came to life alongside Ollie Brown (Julia Stone, The Iron Horses) and Steve Smart (City Calm Down, Flume) and finds March at her absolute strongest, both musically and lyrically as March herself explains:
"‘Ten Days is probably the most upbeat and lyrically straight forward song I’ve written. It's optimistic but maintains a dark yearning which always creeps in because it's strangely comforting. It’s not only about falling in love with someone, it’s also about falling in love with places and the feeling of something...letting it consume you even though it will end, it might hurt, or you might get completely lost and never be able to quite find that same place or feeling again.”
Regardless of what direction March takes with her ongoing musical adventures, she has struck blissful gold with this latest release, and it's only a matter of time before the next chapter of Sasha March unfolds beyond 'Ten Days'. But in the meantime, go check out the gorgeous new track and clip below.
