SINGLE REVIEW: Cool With It (THE TERRIFYING LOWS)

SINGLE: Cool With It ARTIST: The Terrifying Lows

Let there be grunge pop! Melbourne artist Tyler Milliott has unleashed a striking toe-tapper with his new project The Terrifying Lows and the debut single 'Cool With It'.

--

Effortlessly driving with jumbling guitars under Milliott's creamy vocals, 'Cool With It' draws on the angsty, teen-movie-montage vibes of power pop with a touch of grit and a polished soul. Perhaps fittingly, the track itself deals with the toxicity of a relationship, and organically came to life in Milliott's very own backyard: "The whole song came out very quickly because I think I had something to get off my chest. I was walking around my backyard singing the chorus, and I realised it was an original idea, and it just stemmed from there. It was a classic case of the song being written at the last minute, coming out very naturally and very quickly (within the space of 10 minutes). I realised it was probably one of my better songs. It just hit home.”

From previously playing bass for Ali Barter and recording/touring with Husky, Gretta Ray and Ben Wright Smith, Milliott is certainly no stranger to the industry - and The Terrifying Lows is already shaping up to be a terrifyingly good time had by all if 'Cool With It' is anything to go by - and there's a brand new video out to go with it!
