SINGLE: We Can Get It (feat. Rromarin) ARTIST: King IV
Melbourne artist King IV may be relatively new on the scene, but her latest single 'We Can Get It' featuring fellow Melbournite Rromarin is an absolute howler. Unfurling into the world last week, the track is a gripping ride of pumping sub-bass and hazy vocals with an overarching touch of trap spicing it up.
Surprisingly, King IV (pronounced King Ivy) is yet to make a live debut, but she's already swept up praise for her earlier singles ('Like I'm Back' and 'No One') and her radical atmospheric tones. 'We Can Get It' kicks things up a notch and brings an intoxicating sultriness that is impossible to dislike, and it's been lauded as being not so much a sonic step forward for King IV as it is a stratospheric strut in thigh-high latex boots.
Knocking 3 for 3 tracks out of the park so far, it's only a matter of time before this commanding artist unleashes more music, more collaborations - and, of course, her long awaited live debut. In the meantime, check out 'We Can Get It' below:
