VIDEO INTERVIEW: OSAKA PUNCH

Strap yourselves in and get ready to feel the punch as The Soundcheck takes you up close and personal with one of the most scintillating and bombastic live acts making brutally tasty waves in the Aussie music world right now: Osaka Punch.

Starting life as The Kidney Thieves over a decade ago, there's no shortage of praise for the sonic bedlam and hair-raising energy this Brissie quartet possess. And while the growing success for Jack Venables (vocals/keys), Brenton Page (bass), Chrispy Town (guitar) and Dane Pulvirenti (drums) may seem like an overnight fairy-tale, the true power behind the punch is in truth a group of freakishly talented and diverse musicians years in the making who can raise funky hell in sequinned suits and take your mother out for a nice meal afterwards.

With their current run of shows alongside equally enigmatic rockers Mammal drawing to a close, Jack and Brenton sat down with Tiana to chat past, present and future, plus share some insider tips on surviving the music biz (bring shoes). Video interview below.
